Turkish Soprano Lirico Spinto DENIZ YETIM enchants public and press with her “warm, round, radiant and goosebumps generating voice”, as well as with her “intense and sensitive interpretations."
In the 2022/23 season, Mrs Yetim made her debut as MARIE and as highly acclaimed MARIETTA in Korngold's "Die Tote Stadt" in stage direction of Jochen Biganzoli and under the baton of Chin Chao Lin.
Furthermore, she will make her debut as VENUS in Wagner's "Tannhäuser" at famous Wartburg, and sing the concerts "Grande Amore", as well as appear in re-premiers as MIMI in Puccini's "La Bohème" in stage direction of famous artist Markus Lüpertz and as 1. DAME in Mozart's "Die Zauberflöte" at Staatstheater Meiningen, where she is a member of the ensemble since the 2021/22 season, performing ELSA in Wagner's "Lohengrin", 1. LADY in Mozart's "The Magic Flute" in stage direction of Achim Freyer and CHARLOTTE in the opera-rediscovery "Santa Chiara" by Duke Ernst II. From Saxonia-Coburg & Gotha in stage directions of Hendrik Müller.
An opera, which was nationally and internationally very famous in its time, and 1855 shown in 60 x very successfully at the Opéra de Paris.
Before joining the ensemble in Meiningen, Deniz Yetim was, also under the intendancy of Jens Neundorff von Enzberg, a member of the ensemble at Theater Regensburg, where she embodied DESDEMONA in Verdi's "Otello", Puccini's TOSCA, FREIA in Wagner's "Das Rheingold" and 1. DAME in Mozart's "Die Zauberflöte" (due to Covid only as live-steam), and where she created the part o LEONORE in Jury Reinvere's world-premiere "Minona" in stage direction of Hendrik Müller.
Guest commitments of the recent past included a highly acclaimed debut as SANTUZZA in Mascagni's "Cavalleria Rusticana" at Opéra de Toulon, marking her debut in France; followed up by a not less successful debut as CIO-CIO SAN in Puccini's “Madama Butterfly”; a part, she also performed at the Landestheater Niederbayern Passau Landshut (Bavaria / Germany) and Puccini’s TOSCA at the Parisienne Opéra en Plein Air under the baton of Yannis Pouspourikas and Furthermore, she sang an Opera-Gala to the Uluslararası Aspendos Opera ve Bale Festivali in Antalya and returned as DESDEMONA in Verdi's "Otello" to the Theater Regensburg, which she also performed at the International OperaFestival Gut Immling - marking her Germany debut - as well as at the Opera Kasachstan.
In addition, TOSCA brought her to the Bakü State Opera; CIO-CIO SAN to the Rostov Opera, the title part of Verdi's AIDA to the Macedonian Opera & Ballett and the International Opera Festival Istanbul, as well as the Antalya State Opera & Ballett; and the roles of SANTUZZA in "Cavalleria Rusticana", GIULIETTA in Offenbach’s "Les Contes d'Hoffmann", as well as the Verdi-parts of MRS. FORD in “Falstaff”, ELVIRA in "Ernani" and GIOVANNA d'ARCO to the StateOpera Istanbul;
In addition, she performed semi-staged arias and scenes of ELSA in Wagner's "Lohengrin" and LEONORA in Verdi's "Il Trovatore" under the baton of Gerrit Prießnitz and in stage direction of Carlos Wagner at the Tonhalle Zürich, the Paul Klee Zentrum Bern and the Concert-Hall Stadtcasino Basel
A special highlight for the young soprano was the Gala-Concert at the Marcello Giordani Foundation in New York City, performing for Renata Scotto.
Additional Opera-Gala-Concerts led her to the Orkestra Yönemeni in Mersin, the Bursa State Symphony Orchestra, he Izmir Karsiyaka Opera, the Izmir Art Center Concert Hall, the Istanbul Fulya Culture & Art Concert Hall, the CRR Hall, as well as at the Chaljapin Opera Festival.
Concert commitments included Wagner's "Wesendoncklieder" with Antonio Pirolli and Verdi's "Requiem" under Lukasz Borowicz with the Istanbul State Orchestra; works by Wagner and Verdi under Rogelio Riojas Nolasco with the Sedat Gürel Günzin Art & Science Foundation;
the "Viva España Concert" wth the Aegean Ensemble; Opera-Galas under Neci Ozguc and Ginalucca Binachi for the occasion of season-beginning at the Istanbul Opera House; the "Zehra Yildiz Memorial Concert" under the baton of Cem Masur; and the "Verdi Memorial Concert" at the Albert Long Hall, as well as a concert with compositions by Massenet at the Bellapais Festival Cyprus.
Mr. Yetim was awarded with numerous prizes in national and international competitions, including the Marie Kraja Opera Festival's International Singing Competition/Albania; the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra Sedat Gürel - Guzin Gürel Young Artist Competition; the Rotary Club Young Soloists Competition Immling; the Voice Club Vocal Competition Ankara; the Semiha Berksoy Foundation Young Singers Competition, the Viva Calisia 2018 Competition, the International Byulbyul Singing Competition, the International Hans Gabor Belevedere competition, the 13. Concorso Lirico Internationale Ottavio Zino and the Soprano Belkıs Aran Memorial Competition.
In addition, she was a finalist at the Montserrat Caballe and the Marcello Giordani International Singing Competition.
At the 49. Concurso International de Francesco Viñas Barcelona she wasawarede with the Extraordinary Specials Diputacio-Prize; and the 2nd prize at the Siemens International Competition was a scholarship for a semester at the Mozarteum Salzburg.
Deniz Yetim began her musical education in a very early age, playing the piano and singing in the Children’s Choir Izmir, travelling with the choir around the country and performing at the Opera Izmir.
She studied at the Anatolia State Conservatroy with Prof. Güzin Gürel.
Masterclasses with Edda Moser, Tom Krause and Alessandra Althoff (Voice), with Hermann Keckeis (drama), as well as with Gerrit Prießnitz and Roman Brogli-Sacher (interpretation) completed her studies.
